A single baby requires more milk and so the mothers must keep feeding them. What about mothers with twin or multiple babies? They should be well trained to feed multiple babies at the same time. Is it possible to do so? Well it is the mothers are capable of producing enough milk.

• The production of milk can be done easily based on the infants demand. They can do so by consuming large amount of caloric foods, liquid items and full healthy meals. The quantity should be double than taken regularly or by other mothers who feed single babies.

• Feed the babies simultaneously by placing them in a football hold position or cradle position or one in football hold while the other in cradle position.

• Feed babies with both the breasts, alternatively as it make the flow of milk even and also don’t make any difference in their demands.

• We can use formula feeding in case of triplets at the same time feeding two with breasts and then changing each baby alternatively such that they receive maximum breast milk and some formula feeding.

• Feeding multiples or twins is a difficult task so we must take help from nurse friends or mothers for help. A baby nurse or any postpartum doula could be employed.

The amount of milk consumed can vary day to day depending on mother’s intake. So every action of mother will affect its baby. Eating healthy will keep baby healthy.
