Every part of the world agrees to this. But in modern days the women are worried about their looks and figure. Feeding babies through breast makes them feared of spoiling their figure. They easily fill the baby’s stomach with easily available milk tins costing several dollars. They don’t understand that mother’s milk consist of anti-infective agents that can help their babies to resist infections, cough, cold diarrhea etc. This milk is best suited for child’s digestion and healthy growth. Although it is believed that breast feeding spoils the figure but in reality feeding the babies can help to reduce the mother’s weight gained during pregnancy. It also helps in delaying the ovulation due to baby’s intense suckling. It also helps women to maintain proper gap between consecutive pregnancies. The baby drinks in open-pause-close manner if it stops drinking then the compression technique should be followed which helps, in encouraging the baby if it falls asleep early to continue drinking. When the baby falls asleep at the breast compression helps them to get more milk and also without fats. Compressing the breast will increase the flow of milk but proper pressure should be applied to the breast such that it doesn’t hurt the breast. When the baby starts drinking keep the pressure in the same level. Change the breast side if baby is not drinking at the same side for longer duration.
